This is one of the most surprising parts of Lumatone, and one of its most killer features. You can turn literally any one of Lumatone’s 280 keys into what's called a continuous controller which is essentially a fader that can control any parameter about your sound.
Simply by moving your finger in and out of any key can manipulate just about anything that takes MIDI. It's an incredibly versatile way to add expression to your performances.
With a simple toggle in the Lumatone Editor Software, you can define any key as a continous controller and manipulate dozens of standard MIDI CC parameters such as expression, filter cutoff, or volume. You can even assign a custom parameter to a MIDI CC. And of course, you can give those keys a unique colour so you can easily find it when you’re in the heat of a performance.
So in addition to the standard mod and pitch wheels on Lumatone, you now have hundreds more potential points of expression to experiment with.
