Lumatone began its life as the Terpstra, and was launched via a successful Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, with thirty enthusiastic backers purchasing the first units far before a final prototype was even finished. After much patience on their part, we've now entered production and christened the instrument as Lumatone. We've shipped a whole lot of Lumatones already and we're growing fast.

We started our sales with a series of production "batches." The first few batches sold out quite quickly, with the first two batches selling out in minutes. As we've ramped up production, we've been able to begin to meet demand better, and after batch 4 sold out, we switched to selling Lumatones directly and build-to-order.
