As a small, scrappy, upstart instrument company, we are currently building every Lumatone to order. We don't yet have the resources to build and keep stock, which is why it takes a number of weeks to build and ship your instrument.
Because of this, we ask that you make sure you actually want to go through with owning a Lumatone before you purchase one. The moment you order, we begin a very lengthy and expensive process to build your instrument with care.
If you've ordered within 24 hours and have realized you no longer wish to proceed with your order, get in touch with us right away and we should be able to refund you the full amount.
Anything beyond one day since your order, and things get more difficult for us when it comes to refunds. We will have ordered materials and parts to produce your Lumatone, at great cost. This is why we have put in place an $850 non-refundable portion for all Lumatone orders. If you were to cancel your order once we've already begun the production process, we'd be out even more than that amount, but the non-refundable portion is a small insurance policy that helps protect us and keep us in business right now.
In other words, please do be sure you want to go through with receiving a Lumatone before you place an order!
Once your Lumatone is shipped, it has been build specifically for you, so a refund is no longer possible. However, it is backed by a 3-year warranty against manufacturer defects, which also protects you if the Lumatone stops functioning as advertised in any way. If at any time within that warranty period you encounter difficulties, we will work with you to repair your instrument, or replace it at no cost to you.
Beyond the 3-year period, we will be here to back you up too, and will always work with you to repair or resolve any issues with your Lumatone as efficiently as possible.
If you have any further questions about how refunds or warranties work, or anything else about ordering a Lumatone, be sure to write us using the button at the bottom of your screen!
